Kelvingi kivi and Kelvingi rannakivi

General

Location: Kelvingi stone and Kelvingi rannakivi are located in Kelvingi, in Viimsi, which is a one family house area in the woods. Kelvingi rannakivi is in the water, while Kelvingi kivi is in the forest. The distance to kelvingi from Tallinn is just below 20 km.

Finding it: Coordinates 59°33'10.3"N 24°49'39.4"E. When getting to the Kelvingi housing area take Eha tee, i.e. the last entrance road and follow it to the very end to a playground parking spot. The sign says that it is reserved for Kelvingi residents only but so far nobody has come to lecture to us.

Cross the bridge leading to the forest and follow the path along the shoreline until you come to Kelvingi rannakivi.

To get to Kelvingi kivi walk past rannakivi (in the water) and shortly you'll see this funky chimney. Walk a tiny bit further and in the intersection turn left to a path that starts going backwards and into the forest (see the map).

Follow the path until you get to Kelvingi kivi, which is visible in the forest on your left, approximately 50 m from the road.

Other remarks:

As kelvingi kivi is in the forest there are mosquitoes... and ticks :(

Big hand to Sergei, Valeri and Ruslan for the routes.
